GIS Production Engineer
Join a collaborative geospatial team delivering high-quality spatial data and mapping solutions within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role is ideal for an experienced GIS professional who enjoys working across data management, spatial analysis, automation, and production support to deliver reliable geospatial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, maintain, update, and validate GIS datasets in accordance with established standards and production schedules.
- Support end-to-end geospatial production processes, including data ingestion, processing, quality assurance, and release activities.
- Apply spatial analysis and geoprocessing techniques to create accurate and fit-for-purpose GIS products.
- Develop and enhance automated or semi-automated workflows using GIS platforms and scripting tools.
- Identify and resolve data quality or production issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, maintaining documentation and supporting knowledge sharing across the team.
About You
- Proven experience in GIS production, spatial data management, or geospatial engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS or comparable GIS platforms.
- Knowledge of spatial data formats, geodatabases, coordinate systems, and metadata standards.
- Understanding of geospatial quality assurance, validation processes, and production workflows.
- Exposure to scripting and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.
