Senior Data Engineer (Marketing Technology) - 18 Month FTC

💰 Up to $180,000 + Super

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing Marketing Technology team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing modern data platforms that power marketing analytics, customer insights, and personalised customer experiences. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Analytics, Architecture, and Data Platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges and working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Design, build, and optimise ELT pipelines and analytical data models
• Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake and SQL
• Integrate data across marketing platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Modernise and migrate legacy data workloads into cloud-based architectures
• Improve data quality, governance, automation, and platform reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver trusted data products for marketing use cases
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members

• Strong experience in data engineering, with a focus on Snowflake and advanced SQL
• Proven track record building ELT pipelines and data models
• Experience working with marketing, customer, or analytics data domains
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment
