The Opportunity

Talenza is partnering with an insurance organisation undertaking a significant whole-of-business transformation program.

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead a major multimillion dollar transformation comprising around six delivery streams spanning technology, operational change and strategic initiatives.

A key early focus of the role will be leading the selection of a core insurance platform, establishing the technology foundation for the organisation's future operating model.

Reporting into the executive leadership team, you will lead a team of eight SMEs across technology and delivery disciplines, while overseeing the broader program across PMO, delivery, change and implementation functions.

The role will ensure alignment across the organisation's transformation initiatives, driving execution across multiple streams while strengthening governance, delivery frameworks and organisational capability.

This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on transformation leadership.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a $30m + transformation portfolio comprising ~6 delivery streams
• Oversee the selection and implementation of a core insurance platform
• Provide strategic oversight across multiple technology, operational and business transformation initiatives
• Lead and coordinate delivery across PMO, change, delivery and implementation functions
• Manage and mentor a team of ~8 SMEs across delivery, architecture and technology domains
• Establish strong program governance, reporting and executive communication frameworks
• Drive alignment between technology delivery, operational change and business outcomes
• Partner closely with executive stakeholders across technology, operations, finance and insurance functions
• Uplift organisational delivery capability, frameworks and program discipline
• Manage vendors, partners and technology providers involved in the transformation
• Ensure effective management of risk, dependencies, delivery timelines and program outcomes

You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience as a Program Director or Transformation Lead delivering large-scale transformation programs
• Strong experience within the insurance sector, ideally involving core insurance platform selection or implementation
• Experience managing complex transformation portfolios with multiple delivery streams
• Strong experience overseeing PMO, change and delivery functions
• Proven capability establishing program governance, reporting and delivery frameworks
• Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional delivery teams and SMEs
• Ability to operate effectively across executive, business and technology stakeholders
• Experience within regulated environments will be highly regarded
• Strong commercial, stakeholder and delivery leadership capability
