🧠 About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior AI Engineer to join a growing data and AI team based in Sydney. This is a permanent opportunity for someone early in their career who is excited about using Python, AI tools, and automation to solve real-world business problems and build practical AI-driven solutions.

You'll work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to design, build, and deploy data pipelines and AI-powered workflows that drive efficiency and insight across the organisation.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based scripts for data analysis, automation, and AI workflows.
• Build and support AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges.
• Use modern AI developer tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate development.
• Create and maintain web scraping scripts for structured and unstructured data collection.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, and transformation across multiple data sources.
• Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive data and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
• Support the deployment and monitoring of data and AI solutions in production.

🎓 Skills & Experience

• Commercial or project-based experience using Python for data analysis or automation.
• Comfortable using AI tools proficiently to enhance productivity and solution design.
• Experience or exposure to Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
• Hands-on experience with web scraping, APIs, or data ingestion pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data cleansing, validation, and preparation techniques.
• Interest in building and scaling AI-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic software engineering practices.
• A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
