Talenza are recruiting for 3 x skilled Databricks Python Engineer who are looking to make an impact on a major cloud migration program. Join a leading financial services group as they modernize their data ecosystem and migrate critical workloads to AWS (Open to Candidates with strong Azure experience as well)

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks and Python. This is a hands-on engineering role within a high-performing team, focused on delivering scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes in Databricks.
• Develop robust Python-based solutions for data transformation and integration.
• Collaborate with data architects and cloud engineers to ensure seamless migration to AWS.
• Optimize performance and cost efficiency across the data platform.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in a financial services context.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Databricks and Python in production environments.
• Proven track record in data engineering and cloud migration projects.
• Solid understanding of AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, etc.).
• Familiarity with Spark, SQL, and distributed data processing.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is highly desirable.

This is a 6 month initial contract on a program which will run for a likely 18 months. Open to date-rate or FTC in a hybrid environment (3/2).
