Description

Are you a skilled Systems Administrator with deep experience across both Wintel and Linux environments? We're working with a leading Australian banking institution on a critical uplift program aligned to the Essential Eight cybersecurity framework. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and uplift core infrastructure across Wintel and Linux platforms

  • Contribute to remediation efforts aligned to Essential Eight security controls

  • Assist with patching, hardening, and configuration management across systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues in a hybrid environment

  • Collaborate with security, network, and cloud teams on cross-functional initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience administering Windows Server (Wintel) and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) systems

  • Proven experience in large, complex enterprise environments (ideally financial services)

  • Solid scripting and automation knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)

  • Familiarity with vulnerability remediation and hardening standards

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in production support

Highly Desirable:

  • Basic Azure exposure (e.g., IaaS, VM management, Azure AD)

  • Experience or exposure to Airlock/WAF solutions

  • Understanding of security frameworks, particularly the Essential Eight
